Today I will write about Kundalini Awakening !!
Kundalini is a feminine(Shakti) energy that is said to lie dormant and coiled 3 times at the base of the spine or lower belly.
Through spiritual practiceS or through other means such as Shaktipat (a transference of energy from an Awakened Master to student) the Kundalini begins to rise upwards through the central channel of Sushumna piercing each chakra until reaching the Crown Chakra. Kundalini is a powerful energy bringing a high voltage into the body to be utilised by the brain and nervous system. Kundalini Rising can go a long way in bringing one to Self Realisation and Enlightenment,particularly if it has reached Ajna or Bindu. Kundalini can rise independently of spiritual awakening but often and usually accompanies a true and lasting awakening. In someone who is ready with a degree of spiritual and psychological maturity Kundalini Awakening is a benign but very powerful and often challenging and life changing occurrence. When it has risen as far as the heart centre or the ajna chakra it is considered a permanent rising. If it reaches the Crown it is said to bring Enlightenment in this lifetime.
A word of Caution.
In someone who is unprepared and who has forced kundalini in some way, or in whom kundalini becomes active because of some emotional trauma or shock, the energy can become very chaotic and can destabilise the persons life for some time. They may become highly anxious and fearful and even in extreme cases psychotic. Some people have had encounters with so called negative entities and other kinds of disturbing experiences. This can be avoided by refraining from practices designed to deliberately try to awaken kundalini, educating oneself about Conciousness and Spirituality and preparing the ground through meditation and cultivating Presence allowing Kundalini to awaken at the right time for the individual.
